7 states get new governor

The central government has appointed new governors of seven states on Tuesday. According to the information received from the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday, the information was given about the appointment of these governors. A Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesman said that Satyadev Narayan Arya has been made the new governor of Haryana, he will replace Captain Singh Solanki. At the same time, Captain Singh Solanki has been removed from Haryana and made Governor of Tripura. New appointments of these governors- - Lal G Tandon has been made Governor of Bihar, he will replace Satyapal Malik. Governor of Bihar Satpal Malik has been made the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. Satyadev Narayan Arya has been appointed the Governor of Haryana, he will replace Captain Singh Solanki. Governor of Haryana Captain Singh Solanki has been appointed Governor of Tripura. Baby Queen Maurya has been made the Governor of Uttarakhand. Governor of Meghalaya, Ganga Prasad has been appointed Governor of Sikkim. Tripura Governor Tathagat Roy has been made the Governor of Meghalaya.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
