Tsunami and earthquake in Indonesia, 400 killed

Tsunami and earthquake struck Indonesia in the evening on the Friday evening earthquake was heard on Sulawesi island of Indonesia and around 400 people have died so far and many people have been injured in the treatment of the injured in hospital. It is being said that the number of those who die can increase. The earthquake and the death toll from the tsunami have been confirmed by Indonesian authorities. Nearly 35,000 houses in the city have collapsed and many houses have become a tornado.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
