PM Modi to get Champions of Earth Award today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be awarded the Champions of Earth Award on Wednesday. PM, Modi will receive the United Nations' highest environmental award for the Champions of the Earth award. United Nations General Secretary Gutarez honored with the PM this special award.

It is known that Prime Minister Modi and President of France Immanuel Makers have been selected for this prestigious award for their eminent leadership and their advocacy on climate change and sustainable development. Explain that this award is given to government leaders, civil society and people in the private sector, whose work has a positive effect on the environment.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
