Vaidyanath temple gets clean Iconic Place Award

On the fourth anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission on Tuesday, Central Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Uma Bharti conferred Baba Vaidyanath Temple Devghar at the national level with the Clean Iconic Place Award. Union Minister Uma Bharti awarded DC Rahul Kumar Sinha with award and memento. Addressing the program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the relentless hard work of everyone in Clean India is very commendable. 

In the Clean India Mission Plan, Central Drinking Water and Sanitation Ministry has selected 30 Clean Iconic Place. Looking at these places of rejuvenation and cleanliness, the Baba Vaidyanath temple was declared as the third place in Clean Iconic Place in this direction on 27th September.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
