Delhi On Flood Alert As Yamuna Crosses Warning Level


In view of the flood situation in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called an emergency meeting of officials. The Delhi government on Sunday issued a flood warning for the National Capital Region and asked people living in low-lying areas to move to a safer place as the Yamuna river is expected to cross the danger level.

Officials said that the water level in the Yamuna river reached 203.37 meters on Sunday evening and it is likely to rise to 207 meters by Monday as eight lakh 28 thousand cusecs of water has been released from Hathni Kund barrage in Haryana at 6 pm.
