Former Madhya Pradesh CM Babulal Gaur dies


Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Babulal Gaur has died after a long illness. He was hospitalized for the last 15 days where he breathed his last. He was 89 years old. He became the Chief Minister of the state after Uma Bharti quit in 2004. He held this position for more than 1 year. Babulal Gaur was admitted in Narmada Hospital for the last 15 days. The doctor of the hospital told that Gaur's kidney stopped working completely and he was being given ventilator support.

Babulal Gaur has been an MLA from Govindpura seat in Bhopal for 10 consecutive times. Gaur has also been the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh from 2004-2005. Babu Lal Gaur was always in the headlines with his statements. Born on 2 June 1930 in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Babulal Gaur used to participate in many movements for the benefit of workers before entering active politics. He also took part in the JP movement and spent about 19 months in jail during the Emergency.
