From team medianews18.com, we wish the actor and a great legend who was born on this day of August 22, 1955, the actor, who made his debut in 1978 with the film Punadhirallu has worked in cinema for over three decades. He has done more than 80 movies is a  well-known face in Indian cinema who has worked in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi films.

 A ten-time winner of Filmfare Awards South, he was also the first actor from South India to be invited to the Oscars ceremony in 1987

He is also the recipient of a Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for contribution to Telugu cinema in 2016

 His movie Khaidi No 150 (2017), released 10 years after Shankardada Zindabad (2007), is a mega hit, sealing his status as an eternal star of Telugu filmdom.

 In 2002, Chiranjeevi was given the Samman Award for the Highest Income Tax Payer for the 1999–2000 assessment year by the Minister of State for Finance.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
