Pradesh Congress Committee Chief post has brought tussle between former Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia as reports are coming in that the later has given his final verdict that if he is not made PCC Chief then he going to look after other options.  After this, reports are also coming in that Scindia is in talks with various BJP leaders for other possibilities as well. 

Sensing trouble among party members CM Kamalnath met Congress President Sonia Gandhi to review the situations about what best can be done.  Kamalnath, who became the chief minister in December, had to vacate the post of state unit chief but since the Lok Sabha polls were approaching  he continued with both posts. Previously Congress sensing the trouble has given Scindia the post of Chairman of Screening Committee for Maharashtra which was not able to satisfy him.

Previously Congress sensing the trouble has given Scindia the post of Chairman of Screening Committee for Maharashtra which was not able to satisfy him.  Imarti Devi, a minister and staunch Scindia loyalist said, "It is understandable that leaders in Maharashtra want a young, dedicated and popular leader like Maharaj (Scindia), but we won’t be satisfied unless he is handed the key responsibility in Madhya Pradesh.” While some supporters are threatening to resign while others are staging demonstration for Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
