Prakash Javadekar: 75 New Medical Colleges Introduced In 3 Years

PM Modi Centre Government Cabinet today waved green signal to opening of 75 medical colleges in the country.  The amount costing to the scheme would be roughly near Rs 24,375 Crores.  It would lead to another 15,700 MBBS seats and would cover area where there are no such hospital and would start with 200 bedded hospital in the beginning.

Minister of Environment Forest and Climate Change and Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar in his statement to the media said," the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs gave its approval for the establishment of 75 additional government medical colleges by 2021-2022 attached with the existing district/referral hospitals under Phase-3 of the ongoing centrally sponsored scheme."
