Bhopal Metro project was inaugurated today by Chief Minister Kamal Nath. State Urban Development Minister Jaiwardhan Singh, veteran Congress leader Digvijay Singh and other state ministers were present on the occasion.
Its estimated total cost would be 6941.4 Crore. The Bhumi Pujan for the project was done near Gyatri Mandir on Hoshangabad Road.
There will be 2 Tracks for Metro. One will be joining Karond Circle to AIIMS and other will be Bhadbada Chouraha to Ratnagiri Square.
It will have an estimated of 26.08 KM long track with and 1.79 Km underground section. It will have 2 station underground with total 28 Metro Station. The deadline of the first phase of the project is December 2022
