According to meeting held on Sunday, the BJP's Central Election Committee has finalized the names of the candidates for the Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly elections. According to reports from sources, the seat sharing agreement with Shiv Sena in Maharashtra will be announced in a day or two. 

This meeting was held at the BJP headquarters in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Party President and Home Minister Amit Shah, Executive Chairman JP Nadda along with Central Election Committee members and other leaders were present to decide on the fate of various candidates.  Meeting was held for hours.

PM Modi was also felicitated for his successful visit to UN. The Prime Minister returned to Delhi on Saturday night from his visit to America. Modi addressed several programs including United Nations General Assembly in America and ‘Howdy Modi’. When asked about the delay in the announcement of seat sharing with the Shiv Sena and some other smaller allies in Maharashtra, a party leader said that the announcement could be made on Tuesday.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
