Gehlot and Pilot Met Today

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Rajasthan Congress President Sachin Pilot met today. There was resentment between the two giants for a long time. Both veterans  met at the behest of Sonia Gandhi, the interim national president of Congress. 

It has been learned that after the instruction of Sonia Gandhi, the two met in the state Congress office in Jaipur today. Rajasthan general secretary in-charge Avinash Pandey and secretary Vivek Bansal have also reached Jaipur to attend the meeting.

However, regarding this meeting, the government says that this meeting is being done for the preparation of the local body elections to be held in Rajasthan. While the pilot has made it clear that this meeting was for coordination. Apart from this, local body elections and Congress membership campaign will also be discussed.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
