Situations are getting worsened for Former Home Minister P Chidambaram who was arrested in INX Media case as now the Enforcement Directorate (ED) wants to question Chidambaram in custody. The application will be filed in the special court on behalf of the ED. Through this application, the ED will seek Chidambaram's custody. Chidambaram is in judicial custody till 19 September in this case.
Last month CBI had arrested Former Minister and senior Congress leader and questioned him. CBI Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar has sent Chidambaram into custody for 14 days from September 5 2019 after his appearance in court.
Chidambaram has submitted another application in the court seeking permission to surrender before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a case related to INX Media itself. The court issued notice to the agency concerned and the hearing will now be held on September 12. Chidambaram has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court on Wednesday for anticipatory bail in the same case.
ED department is going to file charge sheet against the Minister by the third week of September Charge sheet can be filed in the third week of this month. Chances of getting bail to he minister depends on ED filing charge sheet or not.
