Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Congress leader Farooq Abdullah has been taken into custody by the police today. Abdullah has been detained under the Public Safety Act. He has been detained under PSA. Under the PSA a person can be detained for two years without any trial.
It is being told that the place where Abdullah will be kept has been declared as a temporary jail through an order. It was previously said that Farooq Abdullah has been under house arrest since August 5 for opposing Article 370.
