Sholay's Kaalia:- Viju Khote Passes Away Due To Multiple Organ Failure

Veteran Hindi And Marathi film actor Viju Khote passed away on Monday due to multiple organ failure.  He was 77 and was ill for a long time and passed away at his residence.  The actor was famous for his role of Kaalia in Sholay and Robert in Andaz Apna Apna.

His characters left such a deep impression on the hearts of people that even today he is known for the character of Kalia.  Viju Khote also made a negative role in Marathi film Panth after making his mark in Bollywood.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
