    Former Minister and MLA  Muthyam Reddy passed away today following long illness.

    Former minister and former Dubbaka MLA Cheruku Mutyam Reddy has passed away. Muthyam Reddy has been unwell for quite some time. Muthyam Reddy breathed his last at the hospital on Monday.

    Mutyam Reddy, who started politics as the sarpanch of the village, traveled to become the Minister. Mutyam Reddy was elected four times MLA from Dubbaka and Dommata constituencies in the United Medak district. Frustrated with not getting a Congress party ticket during the recently concluded assembly elections, Muthyam Reddy joined the Telangan Rashtra Samithi. Muthyam Reddy was elected to the 2009 assembly. After this, TRS candidate Solipet Ramalinga Reddy was defeated in the 2014 elections.
