Security forces killed Lashkar-e-taiba terrorist Asif Maqbool Bhat of Baramula District who had shot a five year old girl in her leg as her grand father had disobeyed Lahkar-e-taiba decission to keep his fruit shop shut. The terrorist was killed in a hideout when he was cordoned by security forces. Two police men were also injured when the terrorist Asif hurdled a grenade on them.
The attack on the fruit merchant in Dangerpora in Sopore was to sent a air of fear among other business fraternity as when the fruit seller refused to follow the orders of terrorist groups. When the fruit seller refused Lashkar-e-taiba terrorist opened fire at the the fruit seller family members injuring the little girl and two others in the family, the little girl was hit on her leg when the bullet the terrorist was firing hit her on the leg.
The police have arrested eight other terrorist from the valley. They are said to have been reporting to Asif and his other two associates. They had printed posters and were distributing them among the people to warn them for not resuming normal life in Kashmir and opening of shops would convey that people of Kashmir needed normalcy in the valley and this is not the way terrorist want it to be.
