The much awaited Central government decision to approve and clear the path for the revival plan of BSNL and MTNL companies has come up. According to the reports coming up Union Cabinet have given its green signal to the revival package of these companies. In fact principally government has given clear indications of the merger of both the companies.
It is coming to light that the Spectrum of 4G is to be allocated to the Telecom PSEs i.e. Public Sector Enterprises. Now the VRS schemes which were offered before would also be revived and would be offered to the employees. The Modi Govt has announced several measures to revive BSNL & MTNL including Sovereign bond worth Rs 15,000 cr to be raised and Assets worth Rs 38,000 cr to be monetized
This is a big achievement for the employees who were fighting extensively for the revival of these companies. The lives of these employees were put on the stack with the decision of the government when these companies were announced closure. This is the best Diwali gift the government can give to the employees of these companies and to their families.
