Dr. Ammar Rizvi, a veteran Congress leader and twice acting Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has taken membership of BJP on Wednesday. This is a major setback for Congress. Congress leader Rizvi, who joined BJP, said, "In Hajj only Modi-Modi was happening".
After joining the party's at BJP headquarters, he said that when he went to Hajj in Saudi Arabia, he saw everyone praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his bold decisions like the removal of Article 370 from Kashmir and because of that he had decided to join the BJP.
Dr. Ammar Rizvi said that opposing parties intimidate the community by calling BJP an enemy of Muslims, whereas in reality it is not so. He said that he will try to remove the fear among Muslims who think that BJP is against them.
