After the removal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, many leaders of Jammu were placed under house arrest as a precautionary measure. Today, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Jammu and Kashmir administration have uplifted the arrest of some leaders. 

Administration has removed the ban of detention of leaders of all opposition parties. Administration has removed the detention of leaders of National Conference, Congress, Panthers Party

Apart from Chaudhary Lal Singh, President of Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party, the administration has removed the house arrest from Devendra Rana of National Conference and SS Salathia, Congress Raman Bhalla and Harshdev Singh of Panthers Party, these leaders were placed under house arrest from 5 August.

After the removal of Article 370 in the valley, the administration had arrested some leaders of the state, in this process former chief ministers Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah and other leaders were involved.
