A post shared on Instagram by Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan recently revealed that Varun is doing a biopic of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal, who was awarded Paramveer Chakra. According to sources Shri Ram Raghavan will direct this film.
While sharing the post, Varun wrote that, "It has always been my dream to play the role of a soldier of the country. This is a very important film of mine. Can't wait anymore that this film of Arun Khetrapal directed by Shriram Raghavan is brought to the big screen".
According to Varun there is a different vision in the Dinesh Vision production house but this time there are emotions also. Hopefully Mukesh Khetrapal will make Poona horse Unit proud. Jai Hind friends, I hope that we will not disappoint you.
17 Poona Horse Unit is celebrating the 69th Birth Anniversary of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal on 14 October. During the war with Pakistan in 1971, this 21 year old soldier died on 16 December. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra. Arun's bravery can be gauged from the fact that his story is also present on the website of Pakistan Defense army.
