Delhi Tap Water Most Polluted Among Other Cities

According to reports coming in Delhi water supply has been put under questions.  Reports suggests that the water coming in the taps is not fit to drink.  And fresh cases of diarrhea and cholera has come up making the conditions of the people who had been struggling under severe health conditions worse.  

As per reports of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) which was shared by Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on November 16, the water samples which were collected from various parts of Delhi had failed the quality test making the situations worse for the citizens.  The samples collected were the tap water which was supplied to the general public of the national capital.

Giving the reply to the charges by the Union Ministers of the reports findings Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is also the chairman of the Delhi Jal Board, has accused Paswan of misleading people on the issue.

According to the confirmed sources various posters are being shown in Delhi which read, "The Delhi Jal Board chairman should answer how 21,88,253 cases of diarrhea were registered in Delhi in the last four years if the water is clean," read one of the posters.

According to the reports coming in, "Hospitals (in Delhi) registered 19,283 cases of cholera during the period and 36,426 water-related complaints were registered in 2018," it said.
