According to the latest development coming in President Ramnath Kovind has given his consent for President Rule in Maharashtra.
As reported earlier Governor of Maharashtra has sent the draft to the President of India for a President rule in Maharashtra as no party in the state was able to prove its majority and make government even after 19 days of drama.
This is a big blow to Shiv Sena with whom all the drama had started as Shiv Sena had ended their 30 years of pact with BJP to come into power and have Chief Minister of its own Party. BJP who had majority of votes but since its seats were far away from majority in the house.
Shiv Sena had even tried its luck and had the meeting with NCP and Congress leaders to form the government but everything went in vain. As Shiv Sena in the given time was not able to prove its majority.
Governor of the state had asked all the parties one by one to prove their mandate and form the government but everything went in vain as no party was able to prove its majority and at the end state was lead for the President rule.
Now as per law fresh dates would be announced by the Election Commission for elections.
