Supreme Court has withheld its decision in the P. Chidambaram bail plea.

According to the latest reports coming in Supreme Court in its major decision has withhold its decision in the P. Chidambaram bail plea in the INX Media Case.

P. Chidambaram has been behind bars in the INX media case in which the Ex Union Minister was the prime accused and since the inception of the case has been in Tihar Jail and still now the investigations has been going on.   

Today Supreme Court has withheld its judgement in the bail plea application till further notice.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
