Sidhu May Be Appointed As Deputy Chief Minister Of Punjab

Former Punjab government minister and veteran Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu may soon be made deputy chief minister of Punjab, he may soon return to the Punjab cabinet. Rahul and Priyanka are pushing for Sidhu's return.

 According to information received from sources and media reports, Priyanka Gandhi has asked Captain Amarinder Singh to make Sidhu as Deputy Chief Minister to satisfy the Punjab Congress MLAs who are angry with the party and against the party decision to its stand on Sidhu.  

According to the sources the Congress high command is trying to bring Sidhu to the forefront and the Chief Minister of Punjab Captain  Amarinder Singh has started to make a place for him in the cabinet. Recently, he has told his Political Advisor and MLA Amarinder Singh Raja Vading that ministers who are not doing their job properly and whose performance is not right, will be removed from the cabinet.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
