Abdul Sattar Resigns From The Post As Minister In Thackeray Government

According to latest reports coming in from Maharashtra where a minister of Thackeray government Abdul Sattar has resigned from his post. After the Thackeray government expanded its first cabinet in Maharashtra many questions started to engulf the government.

In the formation of cabinet in the Thackeray government, Shiv Sena was opposed to the appointment of Abdul Sattar, a close aide of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, as a minister.  At one time, Shiv Sena itself had admitted in its newspaper Saamna that Abdul Sattar is close to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.  One of whose cutting was becoming increasingly viral on social media.

On 11 June 1994, according to a report published in Shiv Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana', Abdul Sattar was said to be close to Dawood.  Political parties are now raising many questions on Shiv Sena leaders regarding Abdul Sattar.  The same Shiv Sena leader is also expressing his inability to say anything about the matter.

When the news was published about the close of Abdul Sattar's underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in Saamna.  Sattar used to be an active member of the Congress during that time.  Abdul Sattar also pleaded for mercy for Yakub Memon in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.  He had joined the Shiv Sena in the absence of a ticket from the Congress in the recent Lok Sabha elections and was elected MLA from the Salod assembly seat in Aurangabad district in the 2019 assembly elections.
