Bodoland issue come to an end,Central Government-NDFB signs agreement


The long battle for a separate state in the northeast has finally come to an end. In Assam, four groups demanding separation from Bodoland for a long time have decided to abandon the path of violence. The NDFB had an agreement with Assam government on Monday.Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also present there.

The demand for a separate state was being raised by National Democratic Federation of Bodoland(NDFB)from a very long time, but finally when government took a strong stand on the issue, the picture changed completely with a formal procedure.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, the agreement today was signed between Government of India, Assam government and Bodo organization for a bright future.The long battle since 1987 has finally come to an end.

According to the reports,some of the demands of Bodo community were also taken into consideration like political base,a separate university, the extension of Bodo language.This peace agreement will meet political and economic demands along with security of Bodo language and culture.
