Breakthrough In JNU Attack Case

There comes a breakthrough in Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi violence on Sunday night.  Initial investigations have revealed that ABVP and Left activists were involved in the JNU violence.  The workers of ABVP and Left had their face covered with clothes.  Also, the police are identifying the people involved in the WhatsApp chat.  However, no statement has come from the Delhi Police in the case.

 On Sunday night, masked miscreants attacked the students of JNU with weapons, in which more than 30 students were injured.  At the same time, the attackers also damaged government property.  Police had registered an FIR against unknown people in the case.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
