Chairperson Of Punjab Kashmir Finance Company Passes Away

Chairperson and Director of Punjab Kashmir Finance Company Rajmohini Sondhi has passed away.  She died at the age of 87.  Her last rites will be performed in Kishanpura at 5 pm today.  

Rajmohini handled the entire work of the company's office.  She was also associated with Arya Samaj based in Model Town.  Rajmohini Sondhi was a resident of Dehradun, her husband Balbir Raj Sondhi died in 1933.  After which she took care of the whole family.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
