Minister Close To Dawood Ibrahim Appointed By Shiv Sena In Maharashtra

According to reports coming in from Maharashtra the Thackeray government has expanded its first cabinet, but since the expansion of the cabinet Shiv Sena chief and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is in questions.

According to reports in the recent cabinet formation Shiv Sena has appointed Abdul Sattar, a close aide of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, as a minister.  It was not us, but at one time, the Shiv Sena itself had told in its key letter Saamna that Abdul Sattar is close to Dawood Ibrahim, the underworld don.  One of the cutting of samna is becoming increasingly viral on social media.

On 11 June 1994, according to a report published in Shiv Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana', Abdul Sattar was said to be close to Dawood.  Political parties are now raising many questions on Shiv Sena leaders regarding Abdul Sattar.  The same Shiv Sena leader is also expressing his inability to say anything about the matter.

When the news was published about the closeness of Abdul Sattar's with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in Saamna, Sattar used to be an active member of the Congress during that time.  Abdul Sattar also pleaded for mercy for Yakub Memon in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.

He had joined the Shiv Sena in the absence of a ticket from the Congress in the recent Lok Sabha elections and was elected MLA from the Salod assembly seat in Aurangabad district in the 2019 assembly elections.
