Preparations For Election In National Capital In Full Swing

According to the reports the dates of the assembly elections to be held in the country's capital, Delhi, have been announced today.  Today, the Election Commission has held a press conference at 3.30 pm.  

Meanwhile, Delhi Election Commission have announced the dates of Vidhan Sabha elections.  It is believed that Delhi elections can be held in the first week of February.  Today, the code of conduct have also come into force in Delhi after the announcement of election dates.  Delhi Legislative Assembly will expire after 22 February.

Ahead of the announcement of dates BJP President and Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a general meeting in Delhi, attacked the AAP government.  He has said that the people of Delhi are looking for CCTV cameras till date, the people of Delhi are with Modi, your card has been cleared from MCD to Lok Sabha.  The AAP government freed water but gave poison like water and the AAP government's will be rejected in the upcoming assembly elections.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
