    Actor Turned Politician Tapas Pal Passes Away

    Former Trinamool Congress MP and Bengali actor Tapas Pal has passed away in a hospital in Mumbai.  He died on Tuesday morning at the age of 61.  

    Tapas Pal was elected to the TMC party from Krishnanagar in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.  He started his career in 1980 with his first film Dadar Keerthi.  

    After this, he has been awarded several Filmfare Awards for his popular films Tapas Pal.  Tapas Pal has also acted with Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit.
