JP Nadda calls for meeting in Delhi tomorrow

After the defeat of BJP in Delhi elections, now the party will have a meeting tomorrow. According to the reports, in the meeting the reasons for defeat in Delhi elections will be evaluated. The newly appointed BJP president JP Nadda will hold a meeting tomorrow from 10 am to 6 pm. All the general secretaries will be present in the meeting. The chances are that Manoj Tiwari may offer resignation in the party meeting once again.

In the meeting scheduled tomorrow, JP Nadda will review the crushing defeat of BJP and will also discuss the future strategy of the party.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
