Sensex Closes Around 1448.37 Down Due To Global Trends

This week sensex bull was seen trading on below mark as per reports of Coronavirus from around the world.

This week sensex was not able to remain in the green boundary and hit all red with the negative trending reports of Coronavirus from around the world.  

Today was the week ended with sensex closing in red at 38,297.29 i.e it broke down 1448.37 points this week. 

Nifty closed at 431.55 points down in red mark and final figure of nifty closing at 11,201.75 bench mark.


Most of the Indian companies traded in red this whole week and ended in red mark only.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
