Unidentified Persons Arrested From Rameshwaram

As reported by the ANI a major report is coming in from Rameswaram where security personnel have arrested some unidentified persons coming from Sri Lanka.

According to reports a surveillance Indian Navy helicopter which was flying near Arichal Munai area of Dhanushkodi spotted an suspicious boat coming from Sri Lanka.

The boat was entering Indian Waters from Sri Lanka was taken into custody.  

According to the reports the crew and the boat was handed over to the Tamil Nadu coastal security personnel for interrogation.

According to the information investigation is going on and verification is being done.  The Sri Lanka Navy has also been contacted to verify the details.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
