Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Announce Relief Measures

According to reports coming in finance minister Nirmala sitharaman in a press briefing have said that pm garibi Yojana will be given added rupees 1.7 Lakh crore.

Medical insurance of rupees 50 lakh will be given per health worker of the country.

The PM office can also do the cash transfers for poor and other migrants of the country.

These schemes will also include cash transfers and food security.

Finance Minister has also added that 80 crore people will come under this scheme of food and security.  Everyone under this scheme will get 5kg of free rice and wheat apart from the quantity the used to get before.  1 kg of pulse will also be given with this quantity to every underprivileged family.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
