Nirbhaya's Convicts Petition To Be Heard Today

All the four convicts of Delhi's most famous Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case will be hanged tomorrow morning.  

But before this, the Supreme Court and the High Court will give their verdict and decide whether tomorrow the four convicts will be hanged or not?

Actually, Nirbhaya's convict Pawan filed a petition in the Supreme Court on Friday.  Pawan in his petition had demanded that the death sentence be changed to life imprisonment.  

The petition will be heard today. The hearing will be held at 10 o'clock in Delhi's Patiala House Court.  In addition, the National Human Rights Commission has also file a petition in the Delhi High Court to investigate the physical and mental condition of the culprits, which can be heard today.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
