Bollywood Actor Irfan Khan Passes Away At The age Of 53

Shocking news has been coming in from Bollywood industry where actor Irfan Khan has passed away at the age of 53 and Mumbai at KokilaBen Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

He was admitted in ICU on Tuesday for the treatment of Colon infection which he had developed recently.

Recently his mother has passed away on Saturday.  She was 95 and has been ill for the past many days.

He is survived by his wife and his two sons.  Born in Jaipur he will always be remembered for his roles in Hindi Medium, Angreji Medium and Life Of A Pie.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
