Stranded For 22 Days Man Commits Suicide

Heart wrenching story has been coming up from Bareilly Uttar Pradesh.  

Here a 28 year old man who was left stranded in a guest house for 21 days due to lockdown was found hanging in room number 105 today afternoon.

As per the reports the man who was from Lucknow was on business trip to Bareilly from March 23rd and when the lockdown struk he was left stranded in the guest house he has checked in.

The guest house is on the railway station warehouse road under Subhash Nagar police station.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
