Union Home Minister Amit Shah Talked To Maharashtra Chief Minister Udhav Thakre

Just a while ago Union Home minister hamesha had a word with Maharashtra Chief Minister Udhav Thakre.

As per reports coming in home minister Amit Shah talked about the situation in Palghar incident and the steps taken by the state government to strengthen administration there.

As reported earlier three persons were killed by a mob in Palghar on the suspicion of theft by them.  The three persons included two Sadhus and their driver.

The mob has mercilessly beaten all the three to death.  The live videos showing the incident was spread on internet.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
