Low Price Test Kit For Covid-19 Developed By GCC

A Pharmaceutical firm from 24 Pargana West Bengal has claimed that it has developed a covid-19 test kit which will cost only Rs 500 per test.

If the claim is right, then this is the first test kit for covid-19 at low price from around the globe.

In an interview given to ANI MD R. Majumdar of GCC biotech Private limited of South 24 Parganas has said that after two months of research and development to invent testing kit with the low price the company has developed this kit.  

According to MD R. Majumdar this is the most functional cost effective test kit developed by the company.  The company has developed 1 Crore test kit and 40 lakh is in the store.

Even if India does around 3 lakh test per day then also the company will be able to provide with this test kit without any delay.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
