Ministry Of Home Affairs Releases Lockdown 5.0 Guidelines

According to latest press release Lockdown 5 Guidelines released have been issued by Ministry of Home Affairs.

Under these guidelines:- 

1 month extended lockdown has been done.

Zone System has now finished

Restriction will remain only in the Containment Zone.  Discount will be given outside the Containment Zone

Religious institutions will be opened

Temples, churches, gurudwaras and mosques will open after 8 June

State governments will be granted exemption to open educational institutions

Night curfew will be there from 9 pm to 5 am

Hotels will be allowed to open.

State government will decide on opening of coaching, gym and bars, Theaters and schools.

The state governments were allowed to open colleges and swimming pools.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
