Tokyo Olympics Will Be Cancelled If Not Held Next Year

Reports have been coming in from international Olympic committee (IOC) where it has decided that if the Olympics are not held in 2021 then it will be cancelled.

According to IOC Chief Thomas Bach Olympic games were to be held this year in Japan in July and August.  Due to the outbreak of covid-19 pandemic the games were cancelled and were scheduled for next year.

Now with the press statement by IOC Chief Thomas if the games are not held next year then they will be cancelled for this season.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
