Loan Disbursed To Rural Entrepreneurs In Dindigul

Reports are coming from Tamil Nadu that  Tamil Nadu transformation project has revised a special scheme at the cost of ₹918 crore to be implemented in 3994 village panchayats in 30 districts.

Coming that function to disburse loan under the project will be from Saturday. It is the first project in the country which is implemented through Rural development and Panchayati Raj department with World Bank assistance.

This project will benefit in Dindigul district in 7 blocks covering 148 village panchayats.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
