Lockdown In 4 Districts Of Chennai Increased

As per reports coming in there has been a widespread outbreak in the number of cases of covid-19 in Tamilnadu.

Most of the cases having coming in from Chennai and its neighbouring districts.  

In view of the major outbreak of covid-19 cases in the cities government of Tamilnadu have extended the lockdown till June 30th,  2020.

The district where this covid-19 lockdown have been extended are Chennai and its neighbouring districts.  This neighbouring districts include chengalpet, Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
