Prime Minister Narendra Modi Had Video Conferencing With Uttarakhand State Government

Reports are coming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi today has conducted a video conferencing with Uttrakhand state government in review of Kedarnath Math development and reconstruction project.


In the vision of reconstruction of shrine Prime Minister had said to the Uttarakhand government that they should envision and design development project for holy sites like Kedarnath and Badrinath in a way and manner that stands that test of time and yet eco-friendly.


Prime Minister also give direction for the development of other heritage and religious spots in stretch extending from Ramban to Kedarnath. This work will be in addition to the redevelopment of main shrine in Kedarnath.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
