Bollywood Choreographer Saroj Khan Passes At The Age Of 72 Due To Cardiac Arrest

Reports have been coming in from Bollywood where Bollywood has lost one more jewel.

This time Bollywood has lost one of the most senior and talented choreographer Saroj Khan.

As per reports coming in Saroj Khan was admitted in hospital on June 20th 2020 because of breathing issues.  She was under treatment since then.  

Today in the wee hours she passed away at the age of 72 due to cardiac arrest in the ICU of Guru Nanak Hospital in Mumbai.

Her last rites will be performed at Malwani in Malad in Mumbai today.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
