CBI Registers FIR Against Four Naval Officers

Reports have been coming in from Central Bureau of Investigation which has registered a case against four Naval Officers of Indian Navy.

The CBI has registered this case against for Indian Navy officers and 14 other people who have been alleged of making fake bills of Rupees 6.76 crore.

The fake bills were prepared by these 4 Navy officials and 14 other people in the name of supplying IT hardware to the Western Navy command.

As per reports the supply of these IT hardware were not done and were not up to date and the bills were prepared amounting to Rs 6.76 Crore.

These four Navy officials along with these 14 other persons were involved in making these fake bills and charging the Western Navy command the amount to these bills.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
