Lockdown Extended In Bihar With New Guidelines

Reports are coming from Bihar that offices of Government of India,  its autonomous/subordinate officers and Public corporation shall work with 50% subordinate staff, officers to attend office.


 Reports are also coming that commercial and private offices are allowed to operate at 50% strength according to the new guidelines issued by Bihar Government.


Also lockdown is to be extended in Bihar for a period of 16 days effective from 1st August in the wake of covid-19.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
