Seven persons have lost their lives and 30 others have been injured in the fire. This hotel was used by the Andhra Pradesh administration as a covid quarantine centre.
The fire tenders were rushed to the spot immediately and all efforts were on to control the fire.
Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed his shock and grief over the tragic incidents and have expressed his support to the families who have lost their loved ones.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister have given directives to the officials to look into the matter on urgent basis and treat the injured in the nearby hospitals.
The chief minister has ordered in enquiry into the accident. This hotel was taken into lease by a private hospital. And was run as a covid centre by a private hospital.
